The study of
history is recognized as a fundamental element of educational activity
because of its formative value when referring to the study of human
experience over time. The past shapes many of the schemas
of knowledge and interpretation of reality to be present in our current
life, both individual and collective. The temporal
perspective and globalizing approach, specific to this discipline,
provides relevant knowledge about that past that helps us to understand
the current reality. In turn, it contributes to improving
the perception of the social environment, to building a collective
memory and to the formation of responsible and conscious citizens of
their rights and their obligations towards society.
In this course we will study the most relevant moments in the history of Europe from the Greek period until World War II and the participation of Spain in these events.
